How to reactivate blocked or expired prepaid numbers

Self-service via *888*89#

For blocked prepaid numbers

Dial *888*89# using your blocked number.
You will see the information that your number has been blocked and two options in "1. Buka Blokir" and "2. SKB".
Select "1. Buka Blokir" if you agree to unblock and you agree to the terms stated in the “SKB” (Terms and Conditions).
The unblock process will be processed and the card will become active.

For expired prepaid numbers

Please prepare the following documents beforehand:
- ID Card & Family Registration Card you used to register your cellular number.
- SIM Card you want to reactivated.
Dial *888*89# using the number you want to reactivate.
You will see instructions. Click “1. Reaktivasi Kartu".
Click "1. Setuju" if you agree with the terms.
Input your ID Card & Family Registration numbers.
You will receive an SMS notification informing if your number can be reactivated or not.
- If the ID Card and Family Registration Card match you will receive information that the prepaid reactivation request has been received and is being processed.
- If the ID Card and Family Registration Card do not match you can input the latest ID Card and Family Registration Card data, and then you will receive reactivation information and prepaid registration is being validated.

Telkomsel E-care

For expired prepaid numbers

You can contact Telkomsel E-care by sending a direct message (DM) to Twitter/X atau Instagram.

Please prepare the following documents beforehand:
- ID Card & Family Registration Card you used to register your cellular number.
- SIM Card you want to reactivate.
Contact our Customer Service via direct message (DM) by sending "prepaid reactivation".
You will receive a link to upload your ID Card, Family Registration Card, and a photo of your SIM Card that will be reactivated.
Next, you will be in the video call queue for the validation process.

GraPARI

For expired prepaid numbers

You can also visit GraPARI and bring your ID Card, Family Registration Card, and expired SIM Card. You must be present to reactivate your SIM card at GraPARI and cannot be represented.

Additional Information

If the Family Register Card inputted does not match with the previous data, the customer can update the latest ID Card and Family Register Card numbers in as follows:

Unregister the old Family Register Card Number
- Open the SMS feature.
- Type a message with the following format: UNREG#FamilyRegisterCardNumber (the old one).
- Send to 4444.
- Wait for the successful un-registration notification.
Or
- Open Call Feature.
- Dial *444# then press Call.
- Select “3” or “Unreg”, then press send.
- Key in the old family register card, then press Send.
- Wait for the successful un-registration notification.
After successfully un-registering, please re-register
- Open the SMS feature.
- Type REG (space) IDCardNumber#FamilyRegisterCardNumber# (the new one).
- Send to 4444.
- Wait for the successful registration notification.
Or
- Open Call feature.
- Dial *444# and then press Call.
- Select “1” to register, key in your ID Card Number and Family Register Card Number, then click "OK".
- Wait for the successful registration notification.
- If the registration process is unsuccessful, please contact the nearest GraPARI, Call Center 188, or Telkomsel social media services.

If a message like the one above appears, this indicates that the ID Card number and Family Registerd Card number inputted do not match the data registered in Telkomsel's database. You can input the latest ID Card number and Family Register Card number in the input menu. Then you will receive information on reactivation & prepaid registration being validated. Please wait until you get a notification containing information that you have successfully registered.

The reactivation via *888*89# fails with this message: “Maaf, menu reaktivasi ini hanya tersedia untuk nomor hangus. Silahkan cek status kamu di *888#”, but if I check via *888#, the message says, “Status nomor kamu hangus”. What should I do?
