Collect internet is a network automation service which enables customers who run out of regular data package to request it from another Telkomsel customer.

How to use Collect Internet

If you don’t have a donor
If you don’t have a donor
  1. Customer (A#) who runs out of regular data quota will receive a notification that their regular data package has run out and an offer from a USSD pop-up to request data to a friend.
  2. The customer (A#) then enters the number of the potential donor and the type of package requested.
  3. The prospective donor (B#) will receive an SMS confirming that the data requestor (A#) is requesting a data package.
  4. The prospective donor (B#) replies to the confirmation SMS with "Yes" then B# pays for the package and A# will receive the data package as requested.
If you have a registered donor
If you have a registered donor
  1. Customer A# has registered a potential donor by:
    • Data requestor (A#) dials *500*62# then selects “Add Donor”. Enter the mobile number and name of the potential donor.
    • Prospective donors will receive a confirmation SMS. If agreed, the potential donor will answer a confirmation SMS with "Yes" or according to the instructions on the SMS.
  2. When the data requester (A#) runs out of regular data quota, A# receives a notification that their data package has run out and an offer from the USSD pop-up to request data from previously registered donors.
  3. Customer (A#) only needs to choose a previously registered donor and the data package he/she wants to request.
  4. The prospective donor (B#) will receive an SMS confirming that the data requestor (A#) is requesting a data package.
  5. The prospective donor (B#) replies to the confirmation SMS with "Yes" then B# pays for the package and A# will receive the data package as requested.

  1. Customer A# runs out of regular data package, then directly accesses *500*61#. A pop-up will appear containing the following information: "This is a Collect Internet service. Your regular data plan has now run out. Would you like to ask a relative to send you an internet package? 1. Yes."
  2. You will be asked to fill in the donor number then select the package that you will request according to the options available.
  3. Prospective donor (B#) will receive a confirmation SMS regarding A#'s request. If agreed, the potential donor will answer a confirmation SMS with "Yes" or according to the instructions on the SMS.
