MAXStream Studios is back with a short movie competition, as a sequel to Secinta Itu Sama Sinema, an opportunity for young filmmakers to express their creativity through short films that reflect the variety and cultural richness of Indonesia.

With a theme that invites you to explore values and stories close to everyday life, this competition gives space for works that are honest, authentic, and full of meaning.

You’re free to bring your own stories and perspectives to life, and decide how the narrative unfolds and reaches the audience.

Terms and Conditions

Format

Send your film premise, synopsis, triangle system (Director, Producer & Screenwriter), and Director and Producer Statements.

Theme

Your ideas must portray your definition of “story about Indonesia from your point of view”.

Language

Use national or local Indonesian languages with Indonesian or English subtitle.

Originality

Must be original and not previously published or performed.

Workshop

Participants are required to join the workshop as scheduled by the organizer.

Additional Information

The theme of the short film is a love of Indonesia, with a free interpretation based on the filmmaker's creativity, including culture, traditions, landscapes, history, social dynamics, and personal experiences. The competition is open to the public.
Participants must be Indonesian citizens and domiciled in Indonesia.
Participants may submit more than one short film idea proposal.
Participants submitting proposals must be willing to produce the film according to the organizer's production schedule and requirements.
Works must not contain elements that violate Indonesian law, including prohibitions on elements of ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations (SARA), extreme violence, pornography, or content detrimental to certain parties.
Selected participants must participate in the entire program, including mentoring, production, and screening.

Registration materials must be submitted via the submission form on the "Secinta Itu Sama Indonesia" website, which must include the following:

Mandatory:
- Premise
- Synopsis
- Triangle System (Director, Producer & Screenwriter)
- Statement from the director and producer
Participants are also expected to submit a deck containing:
- Short biography of filmmaker
- Film title
- Film genre
- Crew wishlist
- Cast wishlist

Ideas and works must be original and have not been previously published for commercial purposes.
All materials used (music, images, visual elements) must be legal and not infringe the copyrights of others.
Participants declare that their works are free from legal disputes and are not plagiarized.
Copyright of the works belongs to PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkomsel), including the exclusive right to broadcast, publish, and utilize the works for promotion, distribution, and related activities.
