What is Upgrade to 4G program?

Upgrade to 4G program is a program created by Telkomsel to provide convenience for customers who want to upgrade non 4G to 4G SIM cards, through online mechanisms (4G card will be delivered to customer address) or offline (visiting GraPARI).

How do I upgrade my SIM card to 4G?

You can upgrade your card to 4G via:

  • Online: Your favorite e-commerce featured on this page, Facebook & Twitter Telkomsel.
  • Offline: GraPARI, MyGraPARI, and other channels.

What are the terms and conditions to upgrade to 4G SIM card via online?

  • Upgrade 4G card via online channels applies to customers who have used a smartphone, tablet or 4G modem that has not used a 4G card and in a city that has a 4G network. For more information about the 4G network, please access *888*47#.
  • Upgrading 4G SIM card via online channel only applies to Telkomsel prepaid customer (simPATI, KARTU As, and Loop).
  • Upgrading 4G SIM card for kartuHalo customer is only available at offline channels, such as GraPARI and MyGraPARI.
  • Online 4G upgrade is valid for customer whose number is not registered in any mobile banking system. If your number is registered in any mobile banking system, please upgrade your SIM card at GraPARI or MyGraPARI.

What if I can't register for upgrade to 4G SIM card via online?

If you cannot register online, then you are recommended to visit the nearest GraPARI. Please check the available GraPARI list here.

Will I be charged for 4G SIM card upgrade?

You will be charged for the 4G SIM card and the delivery fee to your address when you complete your transaction via e-commerce.

How do I make sure that my SIM card and device support 4G network?

  • To check your SIM card information please access *888*47# then select the option “1. Cek Kartu”.
  • To check your device information please access *888*47# then select the option “2. Cek Ponsel”.

What are the benefits if I upgrade my card to a 4G SIM card?

  • You will get the best experience in accessing the internet with a stable and maximum speed with a 4G network.
  • You will also get:
    • Additional quota of 30GB for 1 month on the 4G network if your card has been active for more than 6 months with more than Rp100,000 usage.
    • Additional quota of 15GB for 1 month on the 4G network if your card has been active for more than 3 months with less than Rp100,000 usage.

Note: You will be charged with Rp10 when your migration process has been successful to get the additional 4G Quota. The additional 4G Quota for 4G migration is offered as an appreciation for customers who migrate to 4G.

What is the additional 4G quota?

It is an additional 4G quota of 30GB or 15GB offered to customers who migrate from non-4G SIM card to 4G SIM card. The quota can be used on the 4G device connected to the Telkomsel 4G network.

Will I be charged for getting the additional 4G quota?

You will only be charged with Rp10 after your migration process has been successful.

How do I get the additional 4G quota?

You have to upgrade your non-4G SIM card to 4G SIM card through online or offline channels.

My SIM card has been active for less than 3 months. Can I get the additional 4G quota?

No, if your SIM card has been active for less than 3 months, you cannot get the additional quota.

Can I get the additional 4G quota for more than once?

No, you will only get the additional quota once for 1 month.

When does the additional 4G quota program apply?

This program applies from September 11th, 2020 to December 31st, 2022.

  1. Customers who are eligible to get an additional 4G quota of 30GB for 1 month are customers whose SIM card has been active for more than 6 months with a total usage of more than Rp100,000 and have upgrade their non-4G SIM card to a 4G SIM card.
  2. Customers who are eligible to get an additional 4G quota of 15GB for 1 month are customers whose SIM card has been active for more than 3 months with a total usage of less than Rp100,000 and have upgrade their non-4G SIM card to a 4G SIM card.
  3. The additional 4G quota applies to prepaid customers (simPATI, KARTU As, and Loop).
  4. The additional 4G quota is valid for 1 month.
  5. You will be charged with Rp10 when migrating to 4G SIM card for the first time to get the additional 4G quota.
  6. You will not get the additional 4G quota if your card is within the grace period. To get the additional 4G quota, you are required to top up your credit first.
  7. The additional 4G quota can be checked by accessing *888# or via MyTelkomsel app.
  8. If you have another 4G quota then the additional 4G quota will be accumulated and the validity period of the quota shall follow the longest validity period.
  9. The additional 4G quota can only be used on 4G devices connected to Telkomsel 4G network via 4G SIM.
  10. The additional 4G quota can only be obtained by customers who have used simPATI, KARTU As, or Loop SIM card for at least 3 months. If at the time of 4G SIM migration the card has been used for only less than 3 months, you will not get the additional 4G quota.
  11. Customer numbers registered with banking services (m-banking) cannot migrate to 4G SIM card via online. It is recommended to visit the nearest GraPARI or MyGraPARI instead.
