Barcelona, Spain, March xxth 2026 – Telkomsel has demonstrated the real benefits of 5G for industrial productivity by winning the Market Development Award – 5G Enterprise Network Solutions (ENS) at the GTI Awards 2026, held as part of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026) in Barcelona.

The award recognizes their initiative, “Accelerating Industry 4.0: How Telkomsel Forged Indonesia’s National 5G Smart Manufacturing Benchmark”, which developed a next‑generation 5G/5G‑A private network at Pegaunihan, Pegatron’s 85,000 m² smart manufacturing facility located in Batam. A “private 5G network” refers to a dedicated 5G network built exclusively for an industrial environment, offering higher stability, speed, and security than public networks.

The implementation of Telkomsel’s latest 5G technologies is helping Pegatron factories operate with greater agility, efficiency, and reliability in the industry 4.0 era. By enabling seamless integration between new digital systems and existing equipment, while also empowering workers with modern digital skills, the collaboration supports manufacturers in adapting to increasingly dynamic operational needs.

Since its deployment, the initiative has strengthened day‑to‑day production processes, making operations more responsive, minimizing disruptions, and enhancing the overall manufacturing experience. This collaboration has also set a new reference point for Indonesia’s industrial digitalization journey, opening opportunities for broader 5G, IoT, and AI adoption across the country.
