Telkomsel Wins Three International Awards at the 2024 TM Forum Innovation Awards
- Telkomsel won three international awards at the TM Forum’s Innovation Awards, namely the Best Moonshot Catalyst – Attendee’s Choice Award, Outstanding Catalyst – Rising Star, and Outstanding Catalyst – Attendee’s Choice Award, at the Digital Transformation World (DTW) 2024 event organized by TM Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark (20/06).
- The Outstanding Catalyst – Rising Star title was granted for presenting one of the most compelling and innovative solutions in the telecommunications industry. Meanwhile, the Best Moonshot Catalyst – Attendee’s Choice Award and Outstanding Catalyst – Attendee’s Choice Award were determined based on votes from the TM Forum community, event participants, and judges.
- Across these three award categories, Telkomsel collaborated with several digital telecommunications companies and technology partners to develop three innovation projects: Data to NPS: Boosting NPS, AI for Customer Perception Network Optimization, and GenAI for Autonomous Network.
Jakarta, June 24, 2024 – Telkomsel once again recorded a prestigious international achievement for its innovation in the telecommunications and technology industry by winning three awards from the TM Forum’s Innovation Awards at the Digital Transformation World (DTW) 2024 event in Copenhagen, Denmark (20/06). Through collaboration with several global operators and technology companies, the awards received by Telkomsel were the Best Moonshot Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award, Outstanding Catalyst - Rising Star, and Outstanding Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award.

The three award categories won by Telkomsel at the TM Forum’s Innovation Awards 2024 were Best Moonshot Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award, Outstanding Catalyst - Rising Star, and Outstanding Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award. In the Best Moonshot Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award category, Telkomsel successfully won the award together with several companies, namely China Mobile, MTN South Africa, Huawei, ZTE, Sand Technologies, Asia Info Technologies China, and Whale Cloud Technology through the innovation project ‘GenAI for AN’ related to the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence for the automation and optimization of telecommunications networks (Autonomous Network), such as more efficient network planning and maintenance, from data analysis to automated decision making.
In the Outstanding Catalyst - Rising Star category, the award was given for the innovation ‘AI for Customer Perception Network Optimization’ developed by Telkomsel together with AIS, China Mobile, China Unicom, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Huawei, ZTE, and Inspur Communication Information Systems, which was considered to have demonstrated the most compelling solution by developing technology capable of increasing operational efficiency and delivering a better user experience. This project also utilizes big data and digital twin technology to identify and address issues before customers complain, as well as improving complaint handling using voice and signal recognition.
Meanwhile, for the Outstanding Catalyst - Attendee's Choice Award category, the award was given to Telkomsel along with digital telecommunications and technology companies, namely AIS, China Mobile, Globe, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Huawei, Hangzhou Eastcom Software Technology, and Sudo Technology, which have innovated by utilizing data driven decision intelligence capabilities to improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) through a project named ‘Data to NPS: Boosting NPS’. This special award was won by Telkomsel together with its partners based on the highest number of votes from the TM Forum community, event participants, and the judges.
The TM Forum’s Innovation Awards 2024 are awards presented by TM Forum as a global association with more than 850 members collaborating to drive digital transformation in the telecommunications industry. These awards are designed to celebrate solutions, projects, and collaborations that drive digital transformation and deliver significant positive impact for businesses and society.
