With ProtekSi Kecil, parents can easily filter harmful content, set internet usage limits, and receive regular reports on their child’s online behavior.

Ronald Limoa, VP of Technology Strategy and Consumer Product Development at Telkomsel, stated, “Telkomsel recognizes that digital technology brings many benefits to daily life, but responsible usage is especially important for children. This is why we developed ProtekSi Kecil to help parents protect their children from negative online content while creating a safe and healthy digital experience.”

Customers can subscribe to ProtekSi Kecil through the MyTelkomsel app for an affordable price of Rp15,000 per month, which includes 500 MB of internet quota to manage up to two devices simultaneously. Designed to ensure strong protection while maintaining ease of use, ProtekSi Kecil offers several key features:

  • Content Filtering – Automatically blocks access to websites classified as harmful or inappropriate based on categories selected by parents.
  • Internet Usage Scheduling – Allows parents to set daily or weekly internet access schedules through the MyTelkomsel app.
  • Internet Activity Reports – Provides reports on blocked websites that the child attempted to access.

After completing the purchase via MyTelkomsel, customers can access the service directly through the in-app menu or via the link provided in the confirmation SMS.

Ronald added, “The launch of ProtekSi Kecil reflects Telkomsel’s ongoing commitment to delivering empowering digital innovations. We hope this service will support the healthy growth and development of children across Indonesia, helping them build a brighter and safer future.”

A Telkomsel survey conducted through tSurvey.id involving 1,000 respondents revealed that 86% of parents are interested in using parental control services, with 55% stating a strong need for affordable tools equipped with key features such as negative content blocking, access scheduling, and activity reporting. These findings reinforce the growing need for solutions like ProtekSi Kecil, especially amid the increasing risks of harmful online content.
