Medan, 3rd Oktober 2017 – After a huge success in 2016, this year Telkomsel came back to hold a certification program named IndonesiaNEXT that aimed to increase capacities and prepare skills for students to face global competition that has become more competitive. With a theme “Get Ready to Be The Next”, IndonesiaNEXT 2017 will hold roadshow in six cities: Medan, Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar.
IndonesiaNEXT 2017 Roadshow will show exciting series of events such as a seminar that will inspire students, competence training, and closed by the national and international level of certification examination program. In 2016, around 3,800 participants from 344 public and private campuses all over Indonesia had participated in the certification program that supported by variously credible certification institutes, both in national or international scale.
Vice President Corporate Communications Telkomsel Adita Irawati said, “Millennials these days are facing a big challenge in working industry, considering the competition that has become more competitive. Therefore, we present IndonesiaNEXT, a program to respond the needs, whereas the certification is one of the key investments when they enter the working industry. Through the development of skills and knowledge, we hope this could improve the student's competitiveness, even up to global scale.”
Moreover, Adita also explained that the participant that graduated from IndonesiaNEXT’s examination certification program will get a certificate of expertise that could be used for students as a Certificate of Diploma Supplement. At the final stage of the program, the best 30 students chosen in the national level will have the opportunity to join internship program in Telkomsel. Besides that, the best five participants will get a short course in one of the leading companies abroad.
In IndonesiaNEXT, participants who are also students from various majors and college education levels will participate in inspirational seminar that will invite successful business practitioners such as Handry Satriago (CEO of General Electric Indonesia), Sakti Makki (Co-Founder of Makki Makki), Harry Nugraha (Country Manager of Intel Indonesia), Aulia E. Marinto (CEO of Blanja.com) and others as the guest speakers. This seminar is expected to open the participants' insight to understand the importance of quality improvement and competence of human resources in order to compete with the global workforce on a global scale.
Meanwhile, on the training session for certification, participants of IndonesiaNEXT will receive training to sharpen their skills in utilizing software, also to communicate. The 3-day training will introduce the students about various skills and knowledge for each most updated industry such as management, economy, information technology, computer system, and multimedia.
The series of IndonesiaNEXT roadshow will be held in six Indonesia’s top universities: Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Medan (3 October), Universitas Islam Indonesia, Yogyakarta (17 October), Universitas Indonesia (UI) Depok (24 October), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) Surabaya (7 November), Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad), Bandung (14 November), and Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) Makassar (14 November).
