The Ministry of Communications and Digital Affairs recognizes Telkomsel’s initiative in pioneering nine locally developed AI-based solutions that support digital sovereignty, digital security, and the needs of communities and industries.

Bali, October 19, 2026 – Telkomsel reaffirmed its commitment to delivering technologies that address the real needs of communities and industries through its participation in Bali Tech Week 2026, held from October 19 to 23, 2026, under the theme“Archipelago Ascending: Advance Together, Innovate Further.”

At the forum, which brings together government representatives, industry players, business leaders, investors, developers, and technology communities, Telkomsel showcased nine artificial intelligence (AI)-based products and services developed locally in Indonesia. The showcase aims to gather user feedback and explore their potential applications before the products and services proceed to the next stage of development.

This initiative supports the spirit of Asta Cita in strengthening human resources, science and technology, national self-reliance, and the equitable distribution of development benefits toward Golden Indonesia 2045. For Telkomsel, collaboration is key to accelerating digital sovereignty. Working with various stakeholders enables ideas to be tested and refined more quickly, ensuring that the resulting technologies are safe, relevant, and proven to address genuine needs.

Nugroho, CEO at Telkomsel, said, “Technology becomes meaningful when its benefits are truly felt. That is why Telkomsel’s journey does not stop at connectivity. We want to deliver AI that is developed in Indonesia and understands Indonesia’s needs, enabling people to be safer in the digital space, access technology more easily, benefit from relevant learning experiences, and work and make decisions more effectively.”

“We have brought these nine showcases to Bali Tech Week to gather feedback from communities, businesses, the government, academia, developers, and partners. Collaboration allows us to learn and move faster without compromising security and responsibility. Guided by the spirit of Melayani Sepenuh Hati, we aim to help strengthen digital sovereignty and ensure that technological progress creates a tangible impact for Indonesia,” continued Nugroho.

To help safeguard the nation and its people in the digital space, SISCAMLING (Sistem Cegah Scam Keliling, or Mobile Scam Prevention System) uses AI to recognize indications of fraud, spam, and suspicious communications. The solution is intended to help people identify potential threats earlier while supporting the development of a safer and more trusted digital space in Indonesia.

To make AI more accessible in everyday life, the OCTA AI Token (One Core, a Thousand AI-bilities) demonstrates a simpler mechanism for accessing various AI services. Adelia (Admirable Daily AI for Indonesian) is being developed as an AI-powered search engine and assistant to help customers find information and address a wide range of everyday needs more easily.

In education, Sacred Octagon offers a game-based mathematics learning experience supported by AI. The platform adapts the GASING method, which stands for Gampang, Asik, Menyenangkan (Easy, Fun, and Enjoyable). Developed by Prof. Yohanes Surya, Ph.D., the method enables children to learn mathematics interactively, progressively, and more easily. The GASING approach is also used in a collaboration involving Telkomsel, the government, Gasing Academy, and Kuncie to help strengthen the numeracy skills of teachers and students.

Based on training conducted in Bali, the GASING method, which forms the foundation for the development of the Sacred Octagon application, increased participants’ numeracy understanding, with the average mathematics score rising from 30 to 80 after 15 days of training.

For industry and business needs, OCTA Enterprise is showcased as an AI solution platform designed to address a wide range of business needs. Through a single gateway, companies can identify the AI model that best fits their requirements and leverage AI for everyday operations, as well as to solve specific business challenges. In this way, companies can easily leverage and manage AI to boost productivity and innovation.

AUREL (Advanced Ubiquitous Reporting for Executive Intelligence) is an AI-powered assistant for business operations that simplifies access to internal information through messaging applications and enterprise work systems. AUREL provides answers, daily summaries, and actionable insights to support faster and more informed decision-making.

AUREL includes use cases such as SAVIA (Smart AI Voice Interactive Assistant), an AI-powered customer service solution designed to automate business call interactions, including customer service, telemarketing, billing, and payment reminders. It also includes AI Video Analytics, which uses AI to read and process information from video recordings, detect and identify objects, and generate more detailed data insights.

Telkomsel is also showcasing IndiHome Aura, which combines home connectivity with IoT (Internet-of-Things) and the exploration of solar energy applications. The concept demonstrates the potential for connectivity and energy management to work in a more integrated manner, supporting the needs of increasingly digital and environmentally conscious households.

Distinct from IndiHome Aura, AURA (Advanced Unified Retail Access) is designed for businesses. The smart Wi-Fi solution goes beyond connectivity by helping businesses engage with customers through customizable Wi-Fi portals, promotional campaigns, vouchers, and customer analytics to support marketing activities. Meanwhile, Solution Hub is an interactive showcase platform that enables B2B customers to easily explore business solutions through engaging visualizations, comprehensive industry insights, and a relevant portfolio of solutions.

Telkomsel’s AI-powered solutions and services are embodiment of Hitakari AI, Telkomsel’s overarching commitment to bringing the benefits of AI closer to society. Derived from the Sanskrit phrase meaning “bringing benefits,” Hitakari reflects Telkomsel’s efforts to deliver relevant AI-based developments that create added value for customers and foster a more impactful digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

Meutya Hafid, Minister of Communications and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, expressed her appreciation for initiatives by telecommunications industry players, including Telkomsel, in developing technology products and services that support the achievement of Asta Cita and deliver tangible benefits to society. In her remarks at the opening of Bali Tech Week 2026, Meutya emphasized that the government’s role in guiding and driving digital transformation must be supported by concrete execution from the industry.

“As an orchestrator, enabler, and accelerator, Komdigi will not be able to achieve the Asta Cita targets without the full support of operators that build the network infrastructure,” she said.

In response to the increasingly rapid development of AI globally, Meutya also emphasized the importance of national technological self-reliance and sovereignty. Indonesia must have the capability to determine the direction of AI development and utilization in accordance with its national needs and interests, while involving input from all stakeholders.

“The pace of our AI development must not be determined by other countries or foreign technology companies. Rather, we must determine it ourselves in a sovereign manner. The input from the ecosystem present at Bali Tech Week will serve as a valuable reference for the government,” Meutya emphasized.
