Jakarta, June 5th 2026 – Telkomsel reaffirms its commitment to creating meaningful impact through sustainable business practices. For Telkomsel, sustainability is an integral part of how the company serves wholeheartedly, empowering future generations, and delivering long-term value for society.

Diaz F.M. Hendropriyono, President Commissioner of Telkomsel and Vice Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia, stated, “Climate change is a real challenge whose impacts are already being felt and will only intensify over time. Businesses must take a more active role in driving greener and more sustainable practices. I appreciate Telkomsel for demonstrating genuine commitment to sustainability, even though it does not operate in an extractive sector. Companies that prioritize sustainability will earn greater trust and create stronger value, especially for future generations.”

Nugroho, Chief Executive Officer at Telkomsel, added, “Telkomsel believes that no company can truly grow in isolation without the surrounding environment and communities progressing as well. No matter how significant our growth may be, it loses its meaning if the environment deteriorates and people’s quality of life declines. We have been, and will continue to innovate and evolve so that Telkomsel’s sustainability contributions are increasingly felt, both in scale and in the quality of impact we deliver.”

Telkomsel translates its commitment to meaningful impact into three key sustainability pillars: Jaga Cita (Empowering People), Jaga Data (Protecting Trust), and Jaga Bumi (Protecting the Environment).

  1. Jaga Cita – Empowering People

Telkomsel continues to empower Indonesian talent while expanding access so more people can participate and thrive in the digital economy. Throughout 2025, Telkomsel served 156.1 million mobile customers and 10.3 million IndiHome B2C customers, supported by more than 293,000 base transceiver stations (BTS) nationwide, including coverage in over 360 previously underserved (blank spot) villages.

The company has also empowered approximately 90,000 students, MSMEs, communities, and young talents through various digital-based social programs. At the same time, Telkomsel continues to strengthen workforce capabilities across operations, focusing on critical skills such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and data science.

  1. Jaga Data – Protecting Trust

Telkomsel safeguards customer trust through secure, reliable, and responsible services. The company continues to enhance governance through internationally recognized information security standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and ISO 25010, ensuring robust data protection and cybersecurity.

  1. Jaga Bumi – Protecting the Environment

Telkomsel actively minimizes its environmental footprint while ensuring service continuity. By 2025, 361 BTS sites have adopted renewable energy sources such as solar panels and micro-hydro systems. The company has achieved 100% electronic waste management through recycle, reuse, and refurbish schemes, and 100% of SIM card packaging now uses environmentally friendly paper materials.

Carbon offset initiatives are further supported by the planting of more than 12,000 mangrove trees throughout 2025. Telkomsel also continues to strengthen the resilience of its physical infrastructure, including BTS, Telkomsel Telecommunication Centers (TTC), and operational facilities, against climate-related risks.

The impact of Telkomsel’s sustainability efforts extends beyond customers to partners, government, and the ecosystem. In 2025, the company redistributed approximately 83% of its revenue to the government, shareholders, suppliers, and employees. This contribution is supported by more than 235,000 retail outlet partners across Indonesia, helping create opportunities for individuals, households, and businesses.

Wong Soon Nam, Chief Strategy & Planning Officer at Telkomsel, concluded, “The journey toward sustainable business can only be achieved through strong collaboration with all stakeholders. Telkomsel is committed to fostering partnerships so that we can move forward together in creating meaningful impact for Indonesia. We aspire to be a role model, a catalyst, and a source of inspiration in protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future generation.”

Telkomsel implements sustainability as part of the integrated GoZero strategy of Telkom Group. Moving forward, the company will continue contributing to emission reduction efforts toward the Net Zero 2060 target set by Telkom Group.
