What is Upgrade to 4G card program?

Upgrade to 4G card program is a program created by Telkomsel to provide convenience for customers who want to upgrade non 4G SIM cards to 4G cards, through online mechanisms (4G card will be delivered to customer address) or offline (visiting GraPARI).

Where do I upgrade to 4G?

Upgrade to 4G card can be done by:

  • Online: www.telkomsel.com/tukarkartu4g, Facebook & Twitter Telkomsel.
  • Offline: GraPARI, MyGraPARI, MCash, Post Office, and other channels.

What are term and conditions to upgrade 4G card through online?

  • Upgrade 4G card through online channels applies to customers who have used a smartphone, tablet or 4G modem that has not used a 4G card and in a city that has a 4G network. For information on the 4G network, please see telkomsel.com/area4g.
  • Upgrade 4G card through online channels applies to simPATI, KARTU As, and Loop customers. While for kartuHalo customers can exchange 4G cards at GraPARI or MyGraPARI.

What if I can't register for upgrade 4G card through online?

  • If you cannot register online, then you are recommended to come to the nearest GraPARI. The GraPARI list that serves 4G card exchanges can be checked through http://www.telkomsel.com/grapari4g.

Will I be charged for upgrade 4G card?

You will not be charged.

How do I check my SIM card and device supports 4G network?

  • To find out the SIM card information please access UMB *888*47# then select the option “1. Cek Kartu”.
  • To find out device information please access UMB *888*47# then select the option “2. Cek Ponsel”.

What are the benefits if I exchange a 4G card?

  • You will get the best experience in accessing the internet with a stable and maximum speed with a 4G network.
  • You will also get:
    - Bonus of 10GB quota on 4G network for cards with an active period of more than 6 months and usage of more than Rp100,000.
    - 5GB quota bonus on the 4G network for cards with an active period of more than 3 months and usage of less than Rp100,000.

What is the 4G quota bonus?

Prepaid number terms and conditions (simPATI, KARTU As, dan Loop):

  • Customers who are entitled to a 10GB 4G quota bonus are customers with a card validity period of more than 6 months and usage of more than Rp100,000.
  • Customers who are entitled to a 5GB 4G quota bonus are customers with a card validity period of more than 3 months and usage of less than Rp100,000.
  • Bonuses are valid for prepaid customers (simPATI, KARTU As, dan Loop).
  • 4G quota bonus is only valid once with an active period of 30 days.
  • 4G quota bonus is not obtained if the card is in the grace period, to get a 4G quota bonus you are asked to top up first.
  • 4G bonus quota can be a check on *888# with the 4G Flash name or download the MyTelkomsel application.
  • If you have another 4G quota, the 4G quota bonus will accumulate and the active quota period follows the longest active period.
  • 4G quota bonus can only be used on 4G devices connected to the Telkomsel 4G network via a 4G card.
  • 4G quota bonus can only be obtained for one IMEI device that has never been used for previous migration.
  • If during the 4G card migration process, the use of the card is not more than 3 months then you will not get 4G quota bonus.

The 4G quota bonus program applies since February 22th, 2019. Telkomsel has the right to close or change this 4G quota bonus program at any time without prior notice.

When does the 4G quota bonus apply?

No, the customer who exchange 4G cards with an active period of less than 3 months will not get 4G bonus quota.

Will the customer who exchange 4G cards with an active period of less than 3 months get a 4G quota bonus?

No, 4G quota bonus can only be obtained for once.

Can 4G quota bonus be obtained more than once?

  1. This program is valid for Telkomsel customers who have used 4G devices but have not used a 4G card.
  2. This program is valid in cities that have existing Telkomsel 4G networks. For a complete list of cities that already have a 4G network, click here.
  3. The 4G quota bonus only applies to:
    • Customers who are entitled to a 10GB 4G quota bonus are customers with a card validity period of more than 6 months and usage of more than Rp100,000.
    • Customers who are entitled to a 5GB 4G quota bonus are customers with a card validity period of more than 3 months and usage of less than Rp100,000.
  4. Prepaid customers (simPATI, AS CARD, Loop) do not need to pay for exchanging 4G cards when they arrive at the shipping address.
  5. Free shipping costs for simPATI, US CARD, and Loop customers.
  6. For kartuHalo customers, they can replace the 4G card at the nearest GraPARI or MyGraPARI.
