What is Upgrade to 4G card program?

Upgrade to 4G card program is a program created by Telkomsel to provide convenience for customers who want to upgrade non 4G SIM cards to 4G cards, through online mechanisms (4G card will be delivered to customer address) or offline (visiting GraPARI).

Where do I upgrade to 4G?

Upgrade to 4G card can be done by:

  • Online: www.telkomsel.com/tukarkartu4g, Facebook & Twitter Telkomsel.
  • Offline: GraPARI, MyGraPARI, MCash, Post Office, and other channels.
  • Call Center 188.

What are term and conditions to upgrade 4G card through online?

  • Upgrade 4G card through online channels applies to customers who have used a smartphone, tablet or 4G modem that has not used a 4G card and in a city that has a 4G network. For information on the 4G network, please see www.telkomsel.com/area4g.
  • Upgrading 4G SIM card through online channel only applies to Telkomsel prepaid customer (simPATI, KARTU As, and Loop) with active period more than 6 months and total spent more than Rp100,000.
  • Upgrading 4G SIM card for kartuHalo customer is only available at offline channel, such as GraPARI and MyGraPARI.

What if I can't register for upgrade 4G card through online?

  • If you cannot register online, then you are recommended to come to the nearest GraPARI. The GraPARI list that serves 4G card exchanges can be checked through http://www.telkomsel.com/grapari4g.

Will I be charged for upgrade 4G card?

You will not be charged.

How do I check my SIM card and device supports 4G network?

  • To find out the SIM card information please access UMB *888*47# then select the option “1. Cek Kartu”.
  • To find out device information please access UMB *888*47# then select the option “2. Cek Ponsel”.

What are the benefits if I exchange a 4G card?

  • You will get the best experience in accessing the internet with a stable and maximum speed with a 4G network.
  • You will also get:
    - Additional quota of 30GB quota for 1 month on the 4G network for cards with an active period of more than 6 months and usage of more than Rp100,000.
    - 15GB additional quota for 1 month on the 4G network for cards with an active period of more than 3 months and usage of less than Rp100,000.

You will be charged Rp10 to get an additional quota in the first month, and for the second until the sixth month will not be charged.

What is the 4G additional quota?

4G additional quota (30GB or 15GB) is a quota to customers who have exchanged non-4G cards to 4G cards and can be used on the 4G device connected to the Telkomsel 4G network.

Yes, to get the 4G additional quota you will be charged Rp10 after the USIM migration process.

When does the 4G additional quota apply?

The 4G additional quota program applies since October 1st, 2019. Telkomsel has the right to close or change this 4G additional quota program at any time without prior notice.

Will the customer who exchange 4G cards with an active period of less than 3 months get a 4G additional quota?

No, the customer who exchange 4G cards with an active period of less than 3 months will not get 4G additional quota.

Can 4G additional quota be obtained more than once?

No, you will only get the 4G additional quota for 1 month.

I already got 4G migration additional quota (5GB/2.5GB for 6 months). Will I still get the quota just like the first activation and get a renewal automatically?

Yes, you will still get the quota and it will be renewed automatically following the previous validity period.

Prepaid number terms and conditions (simPATI, KARTU As, dan Loop):

  1. Customers who are entitled to get additional 30GB 4G quota are customers with a card validity period of more than 6 months and usage of more than Rp100,000.
  2. Customers who are entitled to get additional 15GB 4G quota are customers with a card validity period of more than 3 months and usage of less than Rp100,000.
  3. The additional 4G quota is valid for prepaid customers (simPATI, KARTU As, dan Loop).
  4. Additional 4G quota applied for 1 month.
  5. Customers will be charged Rp10 to get additional 4G quota after migration to 4G SIM Card.
  6. The additional 4G quota is not obtained if the card is in the grace period, to get an additional 4G quota, you are asked to top up first.
  7. Additional 4G quota can be checked on *888# with the 4G Flash name or download the MyTelkomsel application.
  8. If you have another 4G quota, the additional 4G quota will accumulate and the active quota period follows the longest active period.
  9. Additional 4G quota can only be used on 4G devices connected to the Telkomsel 4G network via a 4G card.
  10. If during the 4G card migration process, the use of the card is not more than 3 months then you will not get additional 4G quota.
