This week, the biggest esports event in Indonesia called Dunia Games Con (DG Con) 2022, which took place from October 28-30, 2022 at Basket Hall Senayan, Jakarta. DG Con 2022 is a festival that presents a series of exciting activities to provide the best experience for Indonesian gaming and esports industry activists and players. The event presented interactive seminars from various professionals in the games and esports ecosystem (DG Fest), awards night (DG Awards), and Free Fire game tournaments through the 2022 Dunia Games League (DGL). In addition, a series of activities were packed in an attractive entertainment concept, such as cosplay competition, celebrity fun matches, and musical performances from well-known artists and bands such as JKT 48, Feel Koplo, Maliq & D'Essential, and many more.

Vice President of Digital Lifestyle Telkomsel Nirwan Lesmana said, "Telkomsel's Dunia Games has reaffirmed its consistency in encouraging the development of the country's gaming and esports industry through the DG Con 2022 event. This activity was a combination of the success of the two previous activities, DG Fest and DG Award, which reached 1.7 million visitors in the metaverse at the end of last year—as well as the annual Dunia Games League tournament, with 10 million viewers in the previous year. The main series of events for DG Con 2022 on October 28-30, 2022 at Basket Hall Senayan Jakarta was held offline. Visitors could enjoy various live events such as various interactive seminar sessions featuring more than 50 speakers from experts, activists, and professionals, discussing a number of interesting topics regarding the gaming and esports industry in Indonesia.

DG Con 2022 also held the DG Awards 2022 for gaming people who have contributed to the growth of the ecosystem of the games & esports industry in Indonesia. For the awarding of the 2022 DG Awards, a number of categories were available, including Male & Female Esports Player of The Year, Esports Team of The Year, Game Publisher of The Year, Esports Coach of The Year, and various other leading categories. In addition, the recipients of the 2022 Top Lifetime Achievement award were also announced.
